Hi all,

Trying to get speakup, speechd-up, speech-dispatcher and espeak working in Debian SID... System is Athlon 64 2, kernel v2.6.25.4 with Debian SID up to the latest packages.

I have Speakup working with hardware synth. Have installed Debian packages for espeak and speech-dispatcher... tests ok.

Question: Is there a debian package for speechd-up? or what library is needed to compile speechd-up from source with a 64-bit architecture? I am getting the error at the 'make all' stage:

make all-am
make[1]: Entering directory `/misc/src/speechd-up/speechd-up-0.4'
/bin/sh ./libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -o speechd-up speechd_up-speechd-up.o speechd_up-options.o -lspeechd
libtool: link: warning: library `/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.3.1/../../../../lib//libspeechd.la' was moved.

make[1]: *** [speechd-up] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/misc/src/speechd-up/speechd-up-0.4'
make: *** [all] Error 2

	Any and all suggestions appreciated.
