I persuaded a friend who uses Windows to activate my Verizon web
space and it took about two minutes. So now I have moved my stuff
to the new site, address below.

Hey, don't feel too bad:) I have a dual boot machine at the house which I
from time to time find it either necessary or just plain easier to do a
web site with the Exploder. I do have to admit that with Window-Eyes' IE
navigation features and commands, I can get around some quite elaborate
sites a lot easier than I can with lynx but sometimes lynx may actually be
easier than IE on a few occasions. I do really with the javascript
situation could be resolved for linux users though. The current text
options just aren't good enough!

Don't get me wrong, I do like linux better for just about everything else
but we could use some real help with the web and web based applications.

Doesn't speakup work with w3 or w3m like emacspeak does supposedly? Aren't
these brows supporting javascript? I've found that if a site crashes my
system, it's the java script. For the web developers out there, don't use
it!

can you give me the name and an address of a good alternative to javascript?
If I could use something for validating etc I would.

... Depending on what your trying to do you could write a CGI applet using
Perl or even a native C module.

Right on! Php is also a more secure method. I don't know if that's
analygis to a cgi or a perl. (a language or an interface) What I meant is
The only thing I've seen javascript do is open audio players, search for
files on my system, and crash my computer. All of these things don't need
javascript. I might be more simpathetic if I understood it's purpose.
