Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if someone could tell me of any good software speech synths, free or not. I need to install linux on my laptop, and I'd like to use software speech. thanks in advanced.

To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.

While we're kind of on the subject of synths, is there any kind of
documentation which explains what the different peramiters in
/proc/speakup do? Some are self explanitory like punc_level and rate.
Others are a little harder to figure out like jiffy_delta and synth_direct
etc. Sean
