I believe you can just get it from the speakup ftp site at:
ftp://linux-speakup.org/pub/speakup/disks/fedora/2/RPMS/kernel-2.6.8-1.521spk.i686.rpm
If you need another kernel then look in that directory for the corect
one.

do I just do a rpm install rpm -i filename.rpm and will that do my upgrade?
or do I have to go through and do everything with rebuilding the kernel?
thanks

Hi their. Depending on what exact packaes you want to install usually you
can just do rpm -i filename, using tab-completion where appropriate. Once
you're happy with the kernel you've installed, and you don't have any
problems, you can remove previous versions of the kernel with rpm -e
filename. Of course, this needs to be done after you su root. You might
also want to install the kernel source packages along with the kernel-doc
packages also.
