Depending on what exact packaes you want to install usually you can just do rpm -i filename, using tab-completion where appropriate. Once you're happy with the kernel you've installed, and you don't have any problems, you can remove previous versions of the kernel with rpm -e filename. Of course, this needs to be done after you su root. You might also want to install the kernel source packages along with the kernel-doc packages also. -- Erik Heil Phone: (865) 673-0542
