I asked them for an Ensoniq 1370 (which is what I have now) or an Ensoniq 1371, but our dealer doesn't have any of these. What's a good, under $150 or so, card to get instead--that's fully ALSA supported? There is a midi socket, but I have not inquired about what goes in and out of it! It is plug-and-play, which the Alsa drivers handle just fine. Chuck. However, as far as I know the Alsa drivers don't support wavetable synthesis, so in effect I have a SB-16. You'd probably be happier with something like a SB Live. Its easier to set up a PCI sound card than one running on ISA like my 64. It's a half-length PCI card plus a drive bay unit that provides front panel jacks for interfacing devices--including SPDIF in/out.
