Hello! I got another idea. Could I just copy the speakupmodules to somewhere on my external harddrive, reinstall the kernel, and then use depmod to load it? That way I think I don't get this problem. Because when I've loaded with modprobe these modules every time at first when I try to load a module I get warnings about blacklisting. THen after a while that the modules are not found for whatever I try to load. /Kristoffer ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tyler Littlefield" <tyler@tysdomain.com> To: "Speakup is a screen review system for Linux." <speakup@braille.uwo.ca> Sent: Sunday, April 05, 2009 7:34 PM Subject: Re: Speakup_soft lockup > >I'm becoming really angry and sad. > kick the computer. that always works. >>I tried to install this modules. >>And got a happy surprise. it worked! > that's always a plus >>So then I rebooted the maschine and the same. > Modprobe loses track of all my kernel modules. no >sound, no pc speaker, > no >>usb support except for the braille display. > the same modprobe? just modprobe speakup_soft.
