As an old line editor guy, I prefer ex, which is the line editor version
of vi. You might try it.
If you like that one, you should have a look at edbrowse.

It's not in the kernel, but the modules are easy to compile. Issue with
Vinux is the bloat. If he just wants a cli setup, a 800+ mb Vinux is
going to be a pain. Not bashing Vinux, for those who like it, I just
find it a bit much for what I want.

anyways, but in the meantime it will get someone started.

Thanks for the suggestion but line editors don't seem to have ever
really clicked with me. May be its because I am using a Braille display
as well so sometimes its nice just to review a whole chunk of text
without thinking which lines you want to look at.
