Hi,
I'm glad to report that thus far I've been using 3.0.3 on Debian with a
2.6.25.4 kernel and software speech through Ttsynth.  The performance is
just as good as the previous 3.0.2 version was.  If it makes any
difference, the software speech along with the rest of Speakup is built
into the kernel.
Congratulations on what seems a job well-done.

Is there still any restrictions concerning statically including more
than one synth module in speakup or is that no longer an issue? Like
can you statically include spkout and sftsyn in the same kernel?

Thanks also for the progress made and the ability to keep up with new
kernels again.
