I don't want to have to re-boot my system, but the power from my braille pad was off for a while, and when I plugged the power back in, speakup is not responding. the computer seems to be okay. Keeps Speakup on just doesn't speak text that comes up on the screen. Kind of like pressing enter on the numpad, but that turns back on if you press a key.
