Hi,

Can someone please elaborate on performing a redhat installation via using
telnet? I don't fully follow the instruction below.

Kind regards

Mo.

I have installed RH9 a couple of times using telnet. Thomas' instructions
are essentially correct, but ping the broadcast address to see what address
dhcp assigned.

It seems strange, but you do get exactly the same screens that you get with
a text installation. Of course, you can't switch consoles.

Hi, Red Hat 9.0 doesn't have speakup in it. That is the problem, and one of
the major discussions as of late.
There alternative ways of installing RH such as a kickstart installation, or
a telnet installation if you have the stuff to do it.

Hi, I have downloaded redhat linux 9 and I can't get the speakup
screen reader to start up when I boot in to the installation boot disk.
When I installed version 8 it worked just fine but I get no speech now
when I try to install or upgrade redhat. What is going on? bye
