What options in lynx the cat do I have to activate to use frames? lynx
will say frame but in this webpage, I can't seem to read any of the links
in that frame. When you give me the options I need, let me know if I need
to activate them through editing the /etc/lynx.cfg file or If I can just
activate them in the lynx options menu.

Yes, have you heard of lynx the cat, which indirectly has the ability
to work with frames, if you don't mind activating a few additional
links on the page?

I think for this page it's more complex then that because I see each frame
as a number and I can hit enter on that number but nothing comes up. What
options do you have checked under the options menu or in your lynx.cfg
file? The ones I can think of that are pertenant that I have checked are
links and form fields are numbered, show cursor, show pops for selected
fields. I don't really remember the name of that last one it's the one
where if checked, each choice in a dropdown list shows up as a number
without having to open that list. In otherwords if you have a search site
which opens up with a drop down list, you see all the links and all the
options in that dropdown list automatically.

In Lynx, each frame is represented as a link. Following that link will
let
you see what's in that frame.
Jayson.

My dsl had to gbe setup through windows only because the web interface
uses frames in the page. Is there a browser that speakup supports which
can read frames?

Problem with almost all broadband services (IMHO)
is that nobody working for them has any clue that
anything but Windows exists.

I have had both DSL and cable and had NO problem
setting them up, not even when they told me
"We don't run on Mac."

What O.S. do you support?
   Both.
Both?
   Yeah, 98 AND XP

:-)

Folks,

My understanding is that if I want to use Verizon's dsl, I need to have
a windows box to perform the initial setup. I haven't been able to get
out of them if this is the need for a browser or if some data is written
into the modem. Apparently once this is done then you no longer need the
windows box. I was wondering if anyone has or is using Verizon's dsl
service and can comment on this.

tia
Scott
