Hi there, I'd like to share a little trick with you that might prompt further development of a Keynote SA driver.
Earlier when I was playing around, I discovered, to my surprise that a Keynote SA (in this case, a braille note in remote synth mode) worked using the accent SA driver!
Here are some observations.
When you first load speakup with the acntsa driver, you'll here some garbage, which is just probing code and init code for the synth. However, once this has finished, the keynote starts speaking fine!
Second, pitch commands to increase pitch on capital letters didn't work, which was to be expected. I herd code such as p8 E p5.
Lastly, speech interuption either didn't work, or only kicked in after a few seconds, unlike flite, which does work in this area.
Perhaps someone could use this info to develope a proper SA driver? If you need more info, just contact me.
Thanks,
Arthur.

What we need is a Keynote SA to use to write the driver.
