transports will work in accent emulation mode and provox works with this.
set transport to 9600,n,7,1
and tell provox it talks to an accent sa.

If the DOS screen reader doesn't have an actual Transport driver you
can always use the Accent and there is one other driver which will
work but the name escapes me.

Hi,
the keynote external used to emulate an accent also. I wish humanware would
release their old keynote and keysoft products from 14 or so years ago.

Plus, you've got Business Vision in the Transport that can be loaded up to any computer you hook it up to when you follow the commands from the transport
step by step. It was the predecessor of todays Windows screen readers that can be loaded from flash memory devices.

Ah, Thanks, didn't realise the transport had accent emulation.

You can run the Transport in Accent mode, and use it with any screen reader that supports that. Also, if it was a 615, then, there should've been Business
Vision with it.

Hi,
I know Vocal-Eyes does but you'll be stuck with a demo or you can buy it
for $250. Other than that, I'm not sure but I think it used to be
fairly popular so probably some other screen reader supports it. I
think Speakup does as well so you could run dosemu or similar.

Yeah it's supported by speakup...one of the main reasons I wanted to
use a dos screenreader is I have a raid controler in one of my servers
who's ACU is only available for dos. I used to use it with jaws and
my bns...but I don't have that anymore :-(
