So now that I have the comp-uter system up and running, I naturally have a number of questions. The first and most important is I have a radio station that I wish to get up and running on the internet, I wish to use linux as the operating system for my automation machine, as it is a lot more stable then windows. I've heard of PRS to run radio stations, but I have been told that it's not free first of all, and secondly, I've been told that it's extremely system intensive. Is there any station software out there that is accessible, free, and not too resource intensive that I could use to run a small radio station? And you also need to be broadcasting to an Icecast/Shoutcast server...All Muse is is a streamer that sends data to either type of server. What I do is I do my broadcasts from all live input. Whether it be the microphone, or MPlayer. Well, Kirk, how large is this .ogg file? I am grabbing it from a shell acount in lynx--and so far it is more than 76mb and counting at 16kb a second.
