Hi guys. I've downloaded the Red Hat 9.0 cds from the Red Hat Network
download site. I only have the three binary images at this point but
will add the other images to the listing as I get them.
The url for downloading is:
http://sunshinecomputing.net/~stp/rh9/

Hey guys. I had to take the images down. Got way too popular.

Ok folks, since Tommy was nice enough to share, if for only a
short time, I think that I can make a similar jesture. So until 6
a.m. EST Monday morning all 6 RH9 iso's are available for
download from the following url:

http://12.8.224.252/rh9

Enjoy!

Richard,

Nope, These are the virgin iso's from RH. The took speakup out of
the beta cycle for this release and it never made it back in.
There are some folks diligently working on getting it put back
into the distro, and also making enabled iso's, but neither of
these have happened to date.

Hi Keith,

Wonder why Speakup was removed from the beta cycle? I'll venture to guess
that Red Hat never sees fit to return it to the distro, as I think they may
have renigged on their commitments to equal access.

Hi, well, it is a vary complicated issue. Red Hat is comited to
accessibility. The problem was that speakup broke several things in Red Hat
and no one at
Red Hat informed the proper places, and after much screaming and debate they
decided to pull it blaming speakup for the problems.
Had been speakup been an exyternal package such as emacspeak it would be
there, but since it is kernel based, and does at times interfear with the
distribution it can get in the way if not handled properly.
