arch: installing part of a group of packages

arch: installing part of a group of packages

How can I install part of a group of packages?  The live cd allows you 
to select individual packages.  How to do this with pacman?

Hi,
Just install the packages you want individually.  There'sno way to do 
interactive selection I'm afraid.  That particular function was coded up 
using Dialogue and Bash.

Last time I did it, just run pacman -S <groupname>, then pacman will ask if you want to install all x-number of packages.  If you press n for no, pacman then goes throug each package individually with a "do you want to instal this?" and you can answer "Y" or "n" for each.
