Hi. I have 2 ntfs questions.
1. Which ntfs resizer would you all recommend? I can boot a slackware
cd off the computer and/or a floppy disk which may be able to contain an
ntfs resizer? Just curious as to which ones are good to use. If needed
I can also boot into dos in case the tool is a dos one.
2. Last time a couple of years back ntfs mounting was great from Linux
but only in readonly mode. Is it now possible to read/write to the ntfs
partition so one can move files back and forth from Linux?
Thanks.

The last time I looked at the ntfs writing support for the kernel last
week, The help said it was dangerous and a high potential to corrupt
files. It also mentioned having to be sure and flush out the cache
for it when shutting down the system and upon boot up, having to do
something else I can't remember now. It sounded too complicated for
me at the time. What I'm gonna do as soon as I put win2000 on my
current dos/windows partition, I'll let it go up as NTFS but leave the
other hard drive as VFAT and that way I still have an area that is
common to both OS's with read and write capability. I have NTFS read
enabled in the kernel for when I do this project.

I tried looking for one and didn't fit it, on linux at least.
Did you find one?

Seems it only works with NT, not Win2K. The kernel has an option
for experimental NTFS write mode, but it doesn't work for me on
Win2K. This has been bugging me for a long time.
