I've been trying for a couple of days now to patch a kernel via the 
checkout script; even re-downloaded it in case it had been updated. 
reading the archives I see that it was accidentally turned off earlier in 
June and that there was another mishap later in June. then I see Tyler's 
question about this on June 29th. Is cvs down? also, when i try to go to 
the Florida link I just get a blank page. if the problem is on the speakup 
end, any idea when things will be back up again?

Okay Cheryl, try it again.  Somehow inetd had gotten shutdown.  I will
have to look into why fl.linux-speakup.org is acting that way.  It
certainly comes up fine when I ssh into it.  It's cvs serve appears to
be working so you could change your checkout script to point to
fl.linux-speakup.org which would probably be faster.

Yes, thank you, I changed my checkout to the Florida cvs and it  
works--indeed very fast too. Still get the blank page when I go to  
the Florida one in lynx; also tried it in safari as I remembered the  
issue sa couple of years ago with the fedora links in some versions  
of lynx, but I also get an empty html with safari.

The last message I have from the CVS list is from 6/18/2006.

At this time, the checkout script is failing, because the connection to 
linux-speakup.org is being refused.

I tried downloading the latest checkout script from the mirror, but the 
same results (or lack thereof) are achieved.

Have I missed something?
