Can one use the speakup enabled boot disk, and then use the regular fc3
download iso disks for the install? It beats paying the $23 for four disks
through cheap bytes! Yes, guess I am kinda tight with my money!

Hi,
You can install the standard fc3 and then grab and install the modified
kernel and make your initrd.

If your using the speakup isos you have to use all of them or you have to use
the non-modified isos. You can't mix and match. Either use the speakup isos or
don't.

Grrr. You haven't read the installation HOWTO, or you would know this
answer.
The answer, by the way, is "No."

I hope that soon we can have torrents available to download. I would
offer to do this but the problem there is I don't have the actual isos
from the speakup site. I ordered the set from cheapbytes.

Raul,
How's about this for an idea.
Once you get the disks,
1. make isos of them.
2. rsync your isos against speakup's iso images.
3. create the torents.

Easily done.

How will using rsync help if my copies are complete and so are those?
3. create the torents.
Thanks.

Sean,
Take a look at a *.repo file found in /etc/yum.repos.d/
In this file you will see a line that starts with
mirrorlist =
This is where you put a list of ftp://, http://, or file:// entries.
This is where yum is made aware of the locations of the many repositories.
man yum will tell you lots of good stuff. There is also some good howto
information. google yum howto and you will find lots.

Does anyone already have the four iso files on their server who'd be willing
to either upload them to me or set up an account whereby I can download
them? Someone with more band width? I've been downloading them from the
main site and it will take approximately 10 plus days to get them from
there.

I believe so. I'd even be willing to take it via you send it. I just don't
have the money to purchase it at this time. I also, have to get this
chapter concerning linux done for a lan class I'm taking. I'm currantly
using fc2 which I hear isn't supported anymore.
