debian kernel images with speakup

debian kernel images with speakup

Ok guys, kernel-image-2.4.22-speakup is now in debian.

The version of speakup that is used, is the cvs version  I didn't really
have a choice in that, I  can only go with what the maintainer for
kernel-patch-speakup has. I've tested it though, and it does work, but
please, if there any problems please let me know.

No, it's in the debian archives itself, if you are running debian
unstable, 'apt-cache show kernel-image-2.4.22-speakup' and if you want
to install it, 'apt-get install kernel-image-2.4.22-speakup'

remember, this is in debian unstable only.

thanks, another general question up for grabs for everyone. if I were to
install from the boot-disks, is there a way to do it where I don't need to
download and rawrite the floppies for drivers, and roots? I've tried looking
for it on my woody cd but nothing gets found. thanks.
