If realplayer had already been installed, why am I getting an error when
trying to install trplayer? The error is that "real player is not
installed.

Hi All,

I would like to do a show live on ACB Radio. I have the mp3 files
on my computer to play, but don't have the first idea of what and where to
get software which will allow me to do something like shoutcast? If I can
mix voice and music and send it to an ip address then others can go to
that address and get the file as it streams. Well, I guess that is the
way it works. any ideas?

Hi all,

I'm sure you'll get lots of answers to your question, Charlie, but
suggest you corner Matt Campbell, if you haven't already.

Hi, Dannie. I'm not totally clear what is going on here, but have you
specifically installed the RealPlayer 8 rpm that is on the speakup ftp
site?
As far as I am aware I don't know of any Linux distribution that ships
RealPlayer with the distro except for Mandrake Delux which contains it on
the comercial apps cd.
At any rate if you are using a distro that uses rpm here is how to check
and make sure RealPlayer is truly installed.

rpm -q RealPlayer

Please, note the caps in that line.

Hth.
