Using 2 soundcards

Hi:

I'm thinking about configuring the onboard sound in one of my boxes in
addition to the AWE64gold that's already working.

1.  Anyone used more than one soundcard at once?  Anything I should be
aware of before I try?

2.   Specifically, anyone had any experience, good or bad, with a
Yamaha OPL3-SA3?

Hi Geoff.  Yes, I've configured 2 sound cards using alsa rc3.  It's
pretty straight forward.  I have an sblive and a sb vibra 16.  My
Toshiba laptop has an opl3sax that I've never gotten to work properly
with alsa.  I had to use the cs4231 driver in 5.12a, and give up the
rest of the opl3 functionality.  Hope this helps.

p.s.  If you want to see my config file for the two sound cards, just
ask, although there are lots of good examples in the install file.
