Hi all,
I know you can book mark a page in lynx when your cursor is on a previous page with a link to another page, but can you use the a+l commands to mark the page which is being used currently? Is there a different way to do this? Thanks.

Use a to add to bookmarks, then pick d for the current document or l for
the current link.

Maybe my question wasn't clear enough, so I'll try to clarify it based on your reply for which I am thankful by the way.

Yes, I know that this is true for the page which your cursor is currently pointing to. However, can I mark the page which I am currently on?

Greg,
The current document listed below as option "d" means the page you are on.

Ok, I understand now. I thought that d means download the html of the page into the lynx_bookmarks.html file, like in internet destroyer's my favorites. And here I was thinking that I'm passed the stage of bringing windblows concepts to GNU/Linux, oh well.

Greg,
Yes, if you press a, you will get two choices
d save document or
l link to bookmark file
so if you press d, it will save the document you are currently in. If you
press L it will save the link you are on. It might help to turn
punctuation on when reading the prompt line with the choices.
Hope this clears things up,
Liz

Greg,
You press 'a' to start the bookmarking process. Then if you type
'd' you are marking the document you are currently reading, and
if you type 'l' you are marking the document at the other end of
a link you are on. So press 'a' then 'd' to mark the document you
are presently reading.

To clarify, d saves the url of the current document, not the document
itself, the l key saves the url of the currently highlighted link, unless
it's a submit button or something else that convention or security says
you can't save, and of course if you're not on a link, i.e. a page of just
text, then you won't get the l option.

Yes, use a+d instead of a+l; the d key will choose current document.
After doing that, you will then be prompted for the bookmark name like
usual. In fact, most of the time, I bookmark the current document for
my bookmarks.
