hi,

i am very interested in learning assembly programming. the main reason is so
that i can get a better understanding of what is happening at this lower
level. any pointers as to how to start learning? i've not found any good
beginner tutorials or anything. a helping hand would be gratefully received
to get me started.

Hi Saqib.

There's a good website called www.linuxassembly.org they have a whole
bunch of good tutorials, and links to good documentation. But I suggest
you get a general assembly book too, it helps to have a general idea what
its like before trying to jump right onto it.

Thanks, will look at the site. Do you know of any good books in an
accessible format?

The other thing that I would recommend is, to get a book or some
documentation that allows you to become familiar with the architecture
of the processor you will be writing assembly code on.

It is better to give then to receive. You don't believe me, just ask a
boxer.
