Hi all,
I am stuck using windows for now, however, I had tryed to set up a linux
machine about two years ago. I didn't succeed, and am now stuck with having
to type dos at boot up because lilo keeps coming up every time I restart.
If there is a way to eliminate that from my master boot record, please let
me know. Thanks in advance, Chris Schulte

I could be wrong here, but I believe you type fdisk /mbr at the dos
prompt.

Hi, you are correct,
boot to dos and type fdisk/mbr about 5-6 times
this will ensure that your master boot record is rebuilt for dos/windows
only.
I've had to do this a few times but, it's not a good idea to do it if your
worried or unsure at all or you just don't know what you're doing because
it may have disasterous results.

In addition to runing fdisk.mbr several times (5 or more times is good),
you will need to transfer the system files to the disk again. Put a
startup disk in the drive and change to the A drive. Then run the command
"sys c:". This can not be run on the currently active drive.

In DOS mode, type "fdisk /mbr" to fix your boot record.
