Hi.  I can't remember if this is on the list of things to be worked on
or if it's possible.  Is it a good idea to have a speech dictionary so
that words that our lovely synthesizers pronounce funny can sound a
little better?  I'm sure that a lot of us who have used synthesizers for
years are used to how things are said but what about the new user?  If
something like this could be implimented it could be placed in
/proc/speakup/speech_dic or something like that.  Then have the format
be something like 'oldpronounciation=new pronounciation' per line.
