Hi All,
I've been reading the howto on ip masqurading, and setting it up as I go along.
However, I have kernel 2.4.5, but the howto doesn't cover
anything beyond 2.2.x.
I do know that for that series it was possible
to use ip chains.
However, I also know that you can't use that with 2.4.x from what
I've read.
What do I use with 2.4.5, where do I get it from, and how do I configure it?
My distro is Slackware 7.1.
As always, thanks in advance for any help.
Greg

Greg
You can still use ipchains under 2.4. The iptables are supposed to be
better but until there is some documentation it probably won't hurt you to
use ipchains. If you need some help with setting it up you can contact me
off list.

Hi. the 2.4 series kernels use iptables and if you get the 245 packages
from slackware-current you will get support for this. I believe in the n1
directory is the iptables package as well. Then you have to cimpile
support for iptalbes or compile as a module.
