Is there anyone online right now on this list who is willing to allow me at
this time of the day to call them? I need some assistance with installing
my sound card's alsa drivers. I have an sb live value.
Thanks.
Chris.

Hi
Well I'm here in the UK you can ring if you feel that you need telephone
support. You'll have to post me privately for my number. Can you get
access to the INSTALL document? Or if it is that your using kernel
2.6... I can't help.

I'm in the States, and you can write me off list for my number. However,
nobody is going to be able to help you until with ALSa until you get the
right sources for your running kernel installed. This is one of my
gripes with minimalist distros, but that's anpother email discussion.
It's not just A:LSA. You aren't going to compile anything without the
kernel headers. And, they have to match. The error you got is pretty
elementary.

No I didn't, and actually John, now's not a real good time to call, I can't
disclose why on the list, but you know some of the private issues I've told
you about that have been going on here in the past...
Right now's just not cool, unless you call my cell:
704-606-5335
Chris.
