help to start with speakup in ubuntu 9.10

hi !  how i can start with speakup? canenny of list members send me the   file so i can  install inubuntu ? my kernel is 2.6

You could start by downloading it from linux-speakup.org. untar it with 
tar -xzvf file.tar.gz, cd to that directory, type make, make 
modules_install. make sure you have the kernel headers installed.
