Subject: getting speakup running on kali linux
Date: Tue, 10 Mar 2015 08:44:41 -0700 (PDT) [thread overview]

Hello List:
I am working on a custom build of kali linux (a debian derrative designed for security testing). I have gnome and orca already working so I was wondering if there are any instructions on how to get speakup working so that I can use speakup when I switch to a console window and orca when I use gnome?
I am pretty sure I remember that something has to be done with speech-dispatcher but I am not sure how to configure speech-dispatcher.
Any tips would be appreciated.
