Shane,

Use the GUI installer selection for the speakup enabled installation.
When the initial beep occurs, down arrow once, press tab, enter your
synth parameter, and press enter.

You can also press escape and enter the appropriate label and boot 
parameters.

Sorry, I have no idea. The talking install process is described in the
release notes on the iso. Does it have anything to say on that point?
