Thanks for the suggestions
However, i'm not sure how i  would use siphone.com, voipstreet, vitelity 
or any others mentioned. I've got linphone installed, but if these 
require using asterisk I'm not sure how to do that. I would be 
interested though if I'm able to look at some type of wikki to get 
started. Please advize.

Hello everyone,

This is completely off topic. so please email me off list. I'm using linphone to make sip calls. Can anyone recommend a 
good provider to use for making calls to ordinary lanlines? I have callcentric, but it never lets me log in. It keeps 
asking me for my password and never says registration on callcentric.com successful.
Please Advize
