Howdy folks,
The latest stable speakup from the Gentoo portage tree will not build. I
have examined the error messages and the ebuild, and what it looks like
is that the ebuild is trying to cd to a directory called

/var/tmp/portage/app-accessibility/speakup-3.1.6_p201011120508/work/speakup-3.1.6_p201011120508

That directory doesn't exist after the unpack phase. However, the directory:

/var/tmp/portage/app-accessibility/speakup-3.1.6_p201011120508/work/speakup-3.1.6

Does exist. It looks as though the ebuild and the tarball being
extracted are not in agreement. Could one of the maintainers please fix
this asap? I can't upgrade to the latest hardened-sources because of
this error unless I want to either put speakup in my private overlay or
go without it. Neither option is ideal. Thanks in advance.
Joe

Hi Joe,

You should be good to go now. I just fixed this a little while ago.
Sync your portage tree and try again.

Let me know if it works.

Thanks,

William
