Ubuntu edgy eft as a live cd

I now have a cd with ubuntu 6.10 and would like to know if this is a live cd
or not? If so, will it destroy my existing partitions?

Hi.

It should be.  There are 3 Edgy CD's.  If you downloaded the desktop CD,
then it is a live cd.

Unless you tell the installer to delete your partitions, the cd won't
thouch anything on your HD.

Ubuntu is a live CD which, by definition, won't do anything with your
partitions unless you install it. (Installing, of course, means you're
not using it as a live CD after it's installed.)
