You may actually have javascript installed in elinks, sometimes some sites just don't understand that elinks has got it running so will present a message saying it is disabled. To check that elinks has javascript issue the command "elinks --version" at the bash prompt, and it should list everything you compiled elinks with and should mention spider monkey if you did compile support. To check if it is enabled, check in the options manager, under ecmascript. One other thing. Even if the js support is compiled in and working properly, elinks will still show the content in the <noscript> tags by default. I guess the js support isn't quite complete and this let's alternate content continue to be shown. This means if you get a message about not having javascript things may still work fine. This is an elinks feature that seems to backfire or just be confusing more often than it helps.
