Hi all.

Looking for a direct client that runs under gnu/linux, I noticed that
there seem to be quite a few to pick from. So, I was wondering if
anyone can recommend one that is fairly straight forward to use?

I have used microdc without too much trouble.  I unfortunately don't have the
direct URL, but you can find it on freshmeat.net.  Just put microdc in the
search box.
