For a while last week I was getting daily summary reports of my email
activity, but with all the starting and stopping and backtracking of
things here, they have stopped arriving. I cannot for the life of me
remember how I managed to initiate those reports, and would like to do
so again. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Okay, I found it. A couple of lines need to be uncommented in
/etc/cron.daily/exim4-base and it is ready to go.

Hi.
It's controlled in /etc/cron.daily.
It's possible the part of the crontab entry to generate the report got
commented out.
Also check /etc/aliases to make sure you are the guy who gets mail for
root and postmaster.
Hope this helps.
