Can anyone recommend a dynamic dns client which works with both
dyndns.org and dnsmadeeasy.com?
Many thanks.
PS: This is for a Fedora Core 3 system.

I use ddclient which I got from the resources page at dyndns.org. I
have no idea if it will work on the other one or not. It is writen in
perl and has worked excellently for me.

Hello Steve and Steve;
Thanks for the email. I did remember ddclient and have just downloaded
the latest package and will be configuring it later on. So far I have
not found one which will work with dnsmadeeasy but I suppose I'll go to
their support page and look again. The last time I checked out their
site I don't remember clients being listed there. Will give another try
though.

I have recently investigated this, both from the perspective of a
server, and a client setup, and found a fairly good howto on this at:
http://dag.wieers.com/howto/bits/bind-ddns.php
Assuming the DDNS service uses the methods described in the above
howto to update zones for dynamic clients, this may prove useful to
you. Hth.

I have a perl script that is run from cron that updates yi.org and
dyndns.ca for me. I think I have a front end script that I wrote to call
the perl scripts that yi and dyndns provide. It has been so long ago
since I have had to look at them, I honestly can't give the exact
details off of the top of my head.
