I don't know if T-Mobile's still offering them, but I got a $150
rebate from them, and $50 in rebates from the agent I bought the phone
through...and the phone itself cost $150. So, I can either say I got a
free phone, or a deeply discounted Talks (once I get my rebates
back). No, I haven't bought it yet but plan to.

No. I got it through an online vendor and everyone got the rebates. In
this case, I got it from 
http://www.mobilecitydirect.com

I got it in August, I think, with newly activated service. T-Mobile
had a $150 rebate, then Mobilecity had two $25 ones. I don't know if
you'd be eligible for these if you've already got service, though.
