Just curious about anti-word, I am using slackware, and don't have it, is
it distro-spacific, and does it run in a text console, or does it require
X? Thanks much.

Two things. 1. Nothing in Linux is distro-specific and 2. Antiword does
not require X.

Hi Seth,
I use antiword from the console on my Slackware system and it works
great. Go for it.

I used AntiWord for a while, but found wv http://wvware.sourceforge.net which
seems to be a lot better, as it can convert to HTML, and other formats.
