Hi. I just bought a DECtalk express from a guy on Ebay. I didn't
realize until I got it that it doesn't have any cables. Does anyone
know where I can get the cable to connect the synth to the serial port?
The connector on the synth looks like a female telephone jack.

Thanks in advance.

To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.

Kenny,

When I wanted a new cable for my DecTalk Express, I had the telco boys
here at work whip one up for me. The only problem is that at the DecTalk
end, the connector is not a standard RJ45 connector. It is a proprietary
Dec connector, and I don't remember the part number. That said, if you
went to any computer cable shop you should be able to get one made for
you to the length you want. I actually had the boys make me up a spare
that I keep in my brief case just in case I forget the cable or if
something goes wrong with it.

I probably didn't answer your question, but that is what I did when I
needed a new cable.
