I am running red hat 8, and am using tbrl. I tried to send a file to my
blazer by typing
cp stuff.brl /dev/lp0
Maybe I need to tell my system I have something on lp0. How do I do that?

Try lpr instead of lp0

Danny,
You need to use thelpr command to access the printer. "lpr <filename>".

You may want to try
cat stuff.brl >/dev/lp0
If this doesn't work you need to make sure your user has write access to
/dev/lp0. This may mean adding yourself to a parallel group or lp group
or something.

For something like the blazer which doesn't have any drivers to speak of
you should just be able to redirect output through the parallel port
assuming the settings on your blazer are correct.
