How can I get this file with a text browser? Looks like send space requires javascript. I've tried lynx, links, and w3m, am I missing something?

Hi

Well Tony has put it on the vinux website. Unfortunately, I've deleted
the message. But if you ask me nicely, I'll send it directly to you.
Stating what format you require.

Have you looked at edbrowse yet. Learning the ed-like commands
is a steep, 2-day learning curve, but it handles most java script, as it
uses mozilla's SeaMonkey java libs. It can enable you to browse the web
as quickly as a sighted person when you know the web page's layout
already, and still fairly quickly when you don't.

Michael,

I gather you haven't looked at the sendspace site with edbrowse. Either
that, or I don't know how to use it effectively. Can you give me some
tips to get that particular download?

Thanks,
Chuck

Unless it's using flash, you should just be able to 'g' the file
and 'w filename' to save write what's in the buffer to disk. If
Shockwave Flash is getting in the way, then maybe you can use clive to
get around it. clive is a text console download perl script that
bypasses youtube's crap, and can handle other sites. edbrowse in lenny
is pretty old. The version in squeeze mirrors SourceForge, but their
version is out of date by a longshot, too. Dunno the particulars on
clive., but it works great with youtube URLs. HTH,
