Subject: intro and a question
Hello
I have started to use speakup three days ago after installing the
Fedora core 2 modified for speakup version of linux.
I am a long-time unix/linux user but new to speakup.
I downloaded and installed the latest version of Pine for a mail client as
this is what i have been using, but I would like to know which mail client
works best with Speakup?
Regards, Willem

"Works best with" is subjective. I think you'll find that pine works perfectly well. The other large constituency is for the mutt reader. I think most of us are among those two.

I'll put in a vote for nmh.

what about elm? I took a look at it but couldn't find how to specify
my domain on a per-user basis.

I'd crawl over an acre of 'Visual This++' and 'Integrated Development
That' to get to gcc, Emacs, and gdb. Thank you.

Elm is fine, though I'd say its pretty depricated by today's standards.
It doesn't have support for S/Mime and OpenPGP like Mutt does. Though
Pine I think can be hacked to work with gpg.

I think Alex Snow and others have pine hacked to work with GPG. Can you
guys tell me how?
Thanks
Nick

nope. using mutt here. but I kind of know how to have pine do it. you
need a program called pgp4pine. google for it and you should see the
url. the setup is not that complicated. the readme explains it all.

After watching my newly-retired dad spend two weeks learning how to make a new
folder, it became obvious that "intuitive" mostly means "what the writer or
speaker of intuitive likes".

Hi Thanks for all the responses.
Could some one point me to the full version of the speakup manual if there
is one?
