Hi All: This morning I was trying to manually type an url in to a Chromebook,
while reading in Debian with Speakup. Normally as in other screen-readers, I
would expect to hit the current letter 3times to hear if its capitalized. Only
the 2nd will read phoneticly. Can some1 please inform, am I missing something
or is their room for an additional option in speakup? Thanks so much in advance
Chime

Hi Chime,
I'm pretty sure that you can change the pitch of capital letters in the
settings so it makes a high enough pitch change when arrowing through the
letters to tell if it is capital or not.

Thanks Glen: While your suggestion would work, I have an inflection cranked up
on this DecTalk, so while I enjoy a more interesting inflection, its not always
easy judging about capitals. I thought I remembered Vocal-Eyes where the 3rd
push of a button would read if it were capitalized?

Another inflection on a laptop shouldn't be a problem so long as one of
those can be made to work with a lower pitch than normal. The thing is,
if inflection pitches aren't controlable by means of numbers this won't
work.
