Hi gusy,

I have just installed FC4 on my machine, but now I have a bit of a
problem.

There is a gui login, and when you login there is a gui coming up with
nothing but a terminal window and the clock.

How do I get it into entirely command line mode?

Cheers,

Chris,
I'm not gusy but if you switch to run level 3, you'll be in command line
mode on FC4. You can edit /etc/inittab and change the default run level to
3. Look for the line with "initdefault".

Hi mate, cheers for that.

I knew it was init something, but after working with a falty MBR for the
last 3 weeks, the only thing I could think of was "initrd". LOL.

Thanks again,
