Subject: Quickest start up for speakup and 2.6.24 kernels?
Date: Thu, 3 Apr 2008 14:15:00 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <009401c8958c$b9d54120$0302a8c0@forestfern> (raw)
Hi
At the moment I have speakup patched into a 2.6.24.4 kernel but having
difficulty in getting speakup up and talking before login. It's a matter of
passing the start=1 param to modprobe. Is the earliest activation way is to
put it in rc.local?
What are the options for passing parameters to a module during boot up? Can
it be done at boot loader level?
Many thanks.
Gena
