hello I am running in to a issue.
when my pc boots speak up starts how ever when I hit the key to shut it up
and then once it is done booting in and is at the log in prompt it no longer
speaks.
basicly I can't boot with speakup no more.
could gnome be causing speakup to lock up?

What distro are you using?
I had this problem in Redhat 9. What i did then, was that i let
speakup talk passt the point where it checked for new hardware.
