Hey Janina,
I think Steve Martin said it best in the movie, the Jerk...
"The new phone books are here! The new phone books are here! Page 73.
Johnson, Navin R. I am somebody!"
I spent a little time last evening reading through some of the readme's,
howto's and other docs. I didn't find a boot image for the various synths,
is there one in there? I'm now at the speakup download page getting an
image for my double talk for RH 7.2
After I do a little more preparation, I'll be loading up my spare partition
with linux this morning. One way or other, I'm sure you all will be hearing
from me again later.

Hi, Keith:
I would be glad to help you, but I'm not going to be very available for
the next few days. Do you have the current HOWTO that goes with the disks?
If not, it's attached with this note.
You might want to try calling Bill Acker at the number in the HOWTO.
Also, there are indeed images on the CD ROMs. Look on the first CDR --
Install #1 in the images directory.

Thanks Janina,
I did contact Bill and he got me started OK. I still don't quite have it
installed. *sigh* My CD ROM keeps acting buggy on me and it stopped reading
files.
I think it is more than just a simple cleaning of the lens, since now the CD
tray is stuck in the open position and won't shut. grrr... a bad case of
linux interuptus.
I gotta get caught up on some other work around here. I have a backup plan,
but I'l have to yank my double talk and put it into a different machine.
Well, I'll keep you posted if I run into any mind boggling issues.
thanks for the help

Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.
